Hirose Tokihiro (広瀬時宏)

Tokihiro HIROSE (November 6, 1851- January 30, 1870) was a Hira Taishi (Regimental Soldier) or a Corporal of Shinsengumi (a group who guarded Kyoto during the end of Tokugawa Shogunate). He had changed names, Gensuke ITO and Ainosuke KATO. Some say that he was born in 1842.

It is said that he was a spy of Aizu like Hajime SAITO (Jiro YAMAGUCHI).

Career
He was allegedly born as a son of a roshi (masterless samurai) of Shirakawa Domain in 1851.

In 1861, he went up to the capital, Kyoto. Although the reason is unknown, he most likely left the domain.

He joined the group by June 1863.

In October of the same year, he was once missing when Kamo SERIZAWA was assassinated.

In August 1864, he returned to the group and participated in Kinmon Incident.

On September 10 of the same year, he allegedly left the group due to an illness.

He returned to the group on December 5, 1867.

He participated in the Battle of Toba-Fushimi in 1868. In the Koshu war, he got shot and was seriously wounded.

In the same year, in the Aizu War, he deserted the front line.

On January 30, 1870, he was executed with accessory to murder of Masujiro OMURA.
